Status Quo

Why is it that when you don't have much money to spare, something stops working and needs replacing? Last night, I wanted to have a little better reception on my laptop with the wireless network I have set up here at Mum's house. So I unplugged the access point that I brought up with me from Katanning, and took it downstairs to plug into the network port in the study. It didn't work. It's just flashing at me and refusing to admit that it even exists. So I spend a long time last night on the net (connected by a long cable) researching which new access point I should buy. I finally settled on the Linksys WAP54G, hoping that the client mode works the same way as the other one. You see the access point I brought up with me is the one that I usually have attached to my XBOX. This lets us watch any video files I may have downloaded on the big TV in the lounge room. If it doesn't work then I am going to have to fork out more money to get back to the status quo.
